About the Project:

The project was to refresh the career pathway frameworks The goal of the project was to enable engineers to have a clear career progressions with diverse and inclusive career opportunities and bridge the gap of career opportunities within Platform Engineering (Build & Run) community

Our Process / What We Did:

• Conducted research and interviews with engineers and stakeholders to assess current career pathways and identify gaps.
• Collaborated with leadership and HR teams to design a new career framework aligned with company values and growth.
• Created career progression maps and validate the idea with the impacted team members
• Facilitated workshops and feedback sessions to ensure understanding and adoption of the new framework.

Deliverables:

• A refreshed career pathway framework for Platform Engineering
• Detailed career maps (career pathway)
• Development of inclusive career opportunities and mentoring programs
• Workshops and training sessions for engineers and leaders
• Documentation and communication materials for internal use

Results:

The refreshed career pathway frameworks resulted in increased clarity and satisfaction among engineers regarding their career progression. The initiative led to greater engagement and retention, as engineers felt more supported and understood in their career journeys
